The University of the South Pacific Research Clusters

The USP Council adopted as part of the 2010-2012 Strategic Plan the following objective: Objective 8: To build the University’s capacity for inter-disciplinary research and to better align research with the priorities of Member Countries. The main strategy to achieve this objective is to develop interdisciplinary research clusters. To ensure that the research activities of the Research Clusters align with the priorities of Member countries, the Clusters will be governed and monitored by the Research Cluster Project Implementation Group (RGPIG). The two main tasks of the Research Cluster Project Implementation Group are:

1.  To provide advocacy for the Interdisciplinary Research Initiative.
2.  To ensure that a research and regional engagement plan is developed by the cluster leaders with the assistance of members of each research cluster. Continue Reading...
